InterfaceLink

InterfaceLink™ is a sophisticated technology that allows users to easily create a connection between external simulations and the virtual sonic environments created by SoundScape3D. An InterfaceLink™ is a dynamically loaded, plug-in module that acts as a conduit between external simulations and the virtual sonic environment. Here are some of the ways InterfaceLink™ technology can benefit you:

  • You can build an accurate sonic rendition of a simulated environment without any programming. All the work has been done for you.
  • You're still in control; each supported InterfaceLink provides an easy to use GUI interface that lets you control how it interfaces to the external simulation.
  • Using InterfaceLinks does not preclude other audio content that you define for a scene. You can create a compelling soundscape of a forest environment, for example, and then activate the InterfaceLink to create the dynamic entities that then become part of that environment.
  • VRSonic has developed a number of InterfaceLinks for popular simulation platforms including the High Level Architecture (HLA) standard (MAK RTI, RTI-S, and RTI-NG) and the VRPN emerging standard.
  • InterfaceLinks provide a logging capability so you can keep track of simulation events for after action analysis.

InterfaceLink™ technology is supported throughout our product line. If we don't currently support a simulation technology that you're interested in, we'll be more than happy to work with you on building an InterfaceLink™ for your platform.
